Eligibility
In case of Letter Grading System, students should have secured a minimum "C" Grade in all subjects in Grade 11 and 12.
OR
The students who have a minimum score of 45% in I. Sc. or 10+2 (physical group or biological group with two paper mathematics) or diploma in engineering or an equivalent course recognized by TU can appear in the entrance examination conducted by Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering.
The students who have passed the entrance examination conducted by IOE are eligible for admission in IOE constituent campuses and affiliated colleges on a merit basis.

Job Prospects
Civil Engineers are responsible for the planning, designing, construction, and maintenance of infrastructures like roads, bridges, tunnels, houses, offices, shopping and residential complexes, water and sanitation systems, and others. They excel in engineering practice in the public and private sectors in the technical areas of environmental, geo-technical, structural, transportation, and water resources engineering.
Graduates are fully prepared to enter professional practice or pursue advanced degrees.
Civil engineers can work in any of the areas suggested for:
- Design and development firms
- Government/Non-Government agencies and their contractors
- Engineering consultancies, specializing in private, residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Developments, water and flood management, road infrastructure, or project management
